Les getting some heat about Alabama Joke

Coach Miles seems to be getting some serious heat about a joke he said in New Orleans a few weeks ago. The joke was in reference to Alabama's lost to Louisiana-Monroe last year. His exact words were, "not to make too much of that (Alabama) game, as it seems like a lot of teams in Louisiana beat that team."I think it was hilarious. For your entertainment Alabama plays Tulane in Week 2.

BTW: Glenn Dorsey got 22 million in a contract he signed with the Chiefs.

ESPN's complete LSU Preview

ESPN posted a complete preview of the 2008 Tigers. It breaks down every position and coaches. It is very long, but I read the whole thing. It is a very nice preview that catches you up on all your players. BTW: It was posted in June, but I didn't find it until now.

LSU picked to win the West

Espn's Chris Low had some LSU material on his blog today. He picked LSU to win the SEC West with Auburn in second. He also thinks that the Tigers will beat Auburn in Jordan-Hare Stadium for the first time since 1998. He touched the QB situation as well saying that it will most likely be Jarrett Lee (who is my favorite for the job) starting on Aug. 30.

On the other hand Nola.com has a writer who picked Alabama to win the West with LSU in third. There is a link where you can email him some rants so put one in for me.

2009 Recruiting Class Rankings

LSU is ranked #5 for the 2009 recruiting class according to Rivals.com. Of course it is early for recruiting, but hey! I don't mind the earliness. The highlight of the recruiting class is the verbal commit from Houston, Russell Shepard. He is a QB who can run the ball as well as a running back and can throw the ball well too.
