Today was Skip Bertman's last day as LSU's Athletic Director. He will always been remembered as a true legend in all of College Baseball for his 5 College World Series. Tomorrow will be the first day in over 20 years that Skip Bertman will not be a part of LSU's Athletics Department.

In follow up to Friday's post: Trindon Holliday placed 7th in his semi-final heat for trials for the Olympics last night. He needed to make the top 3 overall to punch a ticket to China. As a LSU fan I am glad he is returning to Baton Rouge. I think he is a really talented athlete and will be successful at what ever he does. Former LSU Football/ Track Star Xavier Carter finished 7th overall.
For a final note: RIP UGA VI. Even though I still think that using the initials of your university for the mascot's name is really uncreative and lame.

Position Power Rankings
Rivals.com has updated their power ranking by position. LSU has a player or coach in every category except QB, DB, and Defensive coach. This is understandable to me since that is where the tigers are lacking experience, but no think that will be for long.

Summer Predictions and Top 25
ESPN writers have made summer bowl predictions and a Top 25 list.
For the bowls, they have the Tigers playing Texas in the Cotton Bowl, but I think that it is way too early to say that stuff.
In the Top 25, the Tigers are placed 12th. I don't care where we start just where we finish.

Byrd's Road to Football
LSU's Senior Wide Receiver Demetrius Byrd was spotlighted by Rivals.com. The article tells his story from school and his possibilities in the draft. Later in the article Steve Megargee, the author, shows the aray of WRs that LSU has had picked in the NFL draft. Then of course he brings up the "Who will the QB be?". It is a really good article though.

Also a big welcome to David Grewe to the LSU Baseball Coaching staff!!

Trindon Holliday trying for Olympic team
Wide Receiver Trindon Holliday is hoping to go to China this summer to run for the United States at the Olympics. If he does capture a spot on the team, he would have to miss LSU's season opener vs. App State. Anyone else praying for the first time that he doesn't run too fast??
Flordia State's CB Michael Garvin and incoming freshman Flordia Tailback Jeffery Demps are also in hopes for a spot as well

BTW: In basketball news, Randolf was selected 14th overall in the NBA Draft today. I still think he should be a Tiger instead of a Warrior.
